Tension in Delta as militants ambush and shoot a soldier in Koko

The oil rich town of Koko in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, is currently in tension as a soldier was shot on Tuesday while six suspected militants were killed during an ambush by the militants on the troop who were trying to apprehend the leader of the gang.

Nigeria's oil production slightly lower in July

Oil production for the month of July in Nigeria’s oil production, excluding condensates, was slightly below 1.8 million barrels per day, the country’s oil minister, Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, said according to Reuters reports.

Dakuku Peterside, the Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA,  has offered to pay N500,000 to anyone with useful information that would lead to the rearrest of the UNIPORT undergraduate, Ifeanyi Dike, who raped, murdered and cut off vital organs from an eight year old girl, Chikamso, in Rivers state last weekend.
